As part of preparations for their World Cup qualifier against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in August 2017, the Nigerian National team has been scheduled to meet their West African counterpart from Senegal on the 23rd of March 2017 in London. This was revealed by the Nigerian Football Federation, while emphasizing the importance of the qualifier match between the Super Eagles and the new

eagleschampions of Africa later in August.

You would recall that the Eagles failed to qualify for the just concluded 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) while the Teranga Lions of Senegal will be coming into the game on the back of their quarter-final exit via penalties at the hands of eventual champions Cameroon.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will host Cameroon at the end of August in Uyo, then proceed to Cameroon for the return leg four days later. Nigeria tops their group in the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier with six points from two matches ahead of Cameroon, who are four points behind. Zambia and Algeria both have one point each.
