Impeachment Move Against Akpabio Mere Distraction – Aide

Special Adviser on Media to the Senate President, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh has described the rumored impeachment move against the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, as phantom as best.

He made this disclosure while speaking on a television programme on Wednesday.

Hon. Eyiboh urged well meaning Nigerians to ignore such distractions and follow the 10th Senate as it works to deliver on its mandate of exemplary lawmaking and legislation for the country.

Speaking further, he said while the rumour mills continue to spin, he was confident that the 10th Senate is largely harmonious and nothing has the potential to threaten that harmony.

“I think it is phantom as you rightly said, and there is nothing like that. What the Senate preparatory to resumption tomorrow is doing, is focusing, strategising and looking to take advantage of the peace and harmony that has been existing amongst them to further the legislative agenda or people driven objectives.”

Eseme noted in conclusion that the senate was solidly behind its leadership and focused on collaborative developmental agenda with the executive.
