The lawmaker representing the Isa-Sabon Birni federal constituency elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdulkadir Jelani Danbuga, is dead.
The development was confirmed by the lawmaker representing Sabon Birni South constituency in the Sokoto State House of Assembly, Aminu Almustapha (aka Boza),
Boza, who spoke with Daily Trust, said the federal lawmaker died around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday after a brief illness.
He was said to have been admitted to the hospital around Tuesday noon.
According to Al-Mustapha, the House of Representatives lawmaker would be buried in Sooko State today (Wednesday) around 11 a.m.
He noted that the burial would be done after the bathing ritual at the National Mosque.
Almustapha said, “His remains would be taken to the National Mosque for the bathing ritual after which it would be flown to Sokoto for burial around 11 a.m.”
Danbuga is survived by two wives, many children and grandchildren.
