A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in the State of Osun, Hon. Adeoye Adelakun has described the action of groups expressing grievances against Governor Rauf Aregbesola by writing the National party Secretariat of the party as ungodly after they benefited under the same government.
He said the decision of the groups called “Concerned Forum of Osun APC” to write the National Chairman of the party accusing Aregbesola of destroying the party is unfair to the Governor and the party at large.
Adelakun disclosed that all the groups that worked for Aregbesola before and after receiving his mandate have been treated well treated since his assumption of office in November, 2010.
Featuring on a radio programme in Osogbo on Wednesday, the Osun Central Senatorial Leader of the APC was of the opinion that the aggrieved groups have issues with their leaders at different local government levels and not Aregbesola.
The Chieftain expressed the conviction that delegates for the governorship election primaries will be chosen constitutionally to choose the right candidate for the party.
He stated further that the candidate for the September 22nd gubernatorial election can come from any senatorial district of the state of Osun.
The politician said the party under the leadership of Governor Aregbesola and Chief Bisi Akande will not compromise but do everything in line with the party’s rules and guidelines.
“The party would conduct the primary election at any moment from now to choose the candidate for gubernatorial election in the state,” He said.
