The Bauchi State Governor, Muhammed Abubakar, has clinched the All Progressives Congress’ governorship ticket for the second time.
Governor Abubakar was declared the winner of the direct governorship primary the party held in the state on Tuesday after he secured 75,086 votes out of 87,312 votes cast.
His three challengers in the primary – Ibrahim Lame, Ali Pate and Bala Jibril – boycotted the primary, alleging irregularities in the process.
Elections reportedly did not take place in some wards and the governor could also not cast his votes because the process was disrupted by some youths.
