Aruna Quadri booked a place in the men’s singles semi-finals in the table tennis event after defeating Harmeet Desai of India in four straight sets in the quarter-final 1 on Friday.
Quadri recorded an 11-9,11-8,11-9,11-8 win over the Desai.
He will face Sharat Achanta from India in the semi-finals 1 on Saturday for a place in the finals.
In the women’s TT6-10 singles, Faith Obazuaye has qualified for the final of the event, defeating Felicity Pickford from England in three straight sets.
Obazuaye won 6-11,7-11, 8-11.
She will face Melissa Tapper in the Gold medal match on Saturday.
Tapper defeated her compatriot, Andrea McDonnell 3-1 (6-11,11-3,11-4,11-1) in the other women’s TT6-10 singles semi-final 1 match.
