The former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr. Matthew Oladokun has formally decamped to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Oladokun who led other party members was welcomed into the party by the Chairman, Prince Gboyega Famoodun at the party rally in Ikire on Tuesday.
In his speech, Oladokun said that he decided to quickly join the train of the progressives having realized that none of the opposition parties has the capacity to dislodge APC in the state.
He added that he knew the opposition parties were doomed to fail at the September 22nd governorship election.
According to him, “We decided to quickly the moving train because we have spent eight years in poverty, another eight years in this situation will be terrible.”
Other members of the PDP from Orileowu in Isokan Local Government Area were also welcomed to the part
