A professor of history and former Nigerian Ambassador to Greece and Australia, Prof. Oludare Agbi, died this morning after a brief illness.
Agbi, who was the chairman of the Elders Forum of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State, died at the age of 73.
Family sources said the late PDP chieftain slumped in his house in Akure, the state capital, and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital where he later died.
Prof. Agbi was said to have died of an undisclosed health problem.
He was one of the delegates at the just concluded national convention of the PDP held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, over the weekend.
