The remains of the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Mohood Olalekan Balogun, has been laid to rest.
Oba Balogun who joined his ancestors yesterday was buried according to Islamic rite at the family’s ancestral home, Ali Iwo, Ibadan.
Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdulganiy Agbotomokekere who led Islamic leaders to conduct burial arrangements and prayers described the late Monarch as a peace loving personality and someone of transparent honesty.
Earlier at the lying in state held at the ancient Mapo hall, Ibadan, rain of tributes were showered on the late Olubadan Oba Mohood Olalekan Balogun.
The Olubadan in council, family members and prominent persons in Ibadan paid homage as a sign of last respect to the late monarch.
It would be recalled that the 42nd Olubadan, who was presented staff of office in March 2022, joined his ancestors yesterday at age 81.
