Father Of Four Arrested Over Armed Robbery In Ile Ife

An acclaimed father of four children, Daniel Onwugbu has been arrested by men of  Police force over alleged armed robbery in Ile Ife.

Funsho Adegboye, the Area commander of the Police division at Moore in the town,  in  a statement said “the father of four children was arrested along with one Israel Animashaun recently through technical intelligence by men of F-SARS.

He said “Their arrest followed series of car snatching reports, which the police has been trying to unravel and have been working on a clue to smash the syndicate.

“Their efforts paid off when one of the snatched cars, a Lexus RX 330 jeep, was tracked down to the father of four at his residence, consequent upon which the he  was promptly arrested.

“This arrest led to the apprehension of Animashaun, who is an active member of a three man gang of armed robbery syndicate specialized in snatching of exotic cars on gun point.

“On interrogation, Animasaun confessed that he and two others snatched the Lexus jeep on gun point at Iremo and took it to the man, who used to help assist them in selling such stolen items.”

He stated further that the father of four only paid him the sum of N350,000 for the car after using it for two weeks before he sent it to his other accomplice.
