A 35-year-old fake lawyer, Muhammed Aliyu Agbaje, has been paraded by Men of the Osun state police command.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Olawale Olokode, while parading the suspect before newsmen, narrated that on August 4, one Muhammed Aliyu Agbaje appeared at the CP’s Surveillance station, Obelawo Area, Osogbo.
While at the station, Agbaje claimed to have come from the chamber of one Barrister Adeleye in Ibadan and sought to get the bail of a suspect who was arrested for the offense of ‘threat to life”.
According to Olokode, along the line, Agbaje was detected to be fake and residing at Owode Ede in the State of Osun.
The CP said the suspect confessed to have been impersonating to be a lawyer and duping unsuspecting victims, upon search, some exhibits were recovered from his residence.
The investigation is on, the suspect will be charged to court, the police boss maintained.
