Exposed: Popular Osun School Involves In Sharp Practice

Students of Interlink Polytechnic, Ijebu-Jesa are complaining of an alleged extortion from the school management.

The latest complaints is about the school management allegedly collecting the sum of twenty thousand naira from students who applied for Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes without undergoing the compulsory one year industrial training known as IT.

Majority of the students who were complaining were from the Department of Mass Communication, who finished their National Diploma programmes in September, 2017.

According to them, they were supposed to be undergoing the IT programme but the management of the school allegedly told them to waive the training programme and apply for HND programme only for the school to turn around and tell them that they have to pay the sum of N20,000:00 as a waiver.

OSUN DEFENDER reporter gathered that this development was not in their best interest as they have paid heavily for their school fees which is more than N100,000:00, accommodation, feeding and also academic materials.

As at the time of filing this report, the management of the school, is yet to set the record straight with an official statement.

The one year industrial training programme is a compulsory prerequisite for the HND programme and there is no provision for waiver from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), the agency regulating the activities polytechnics in Nigeria.
