The former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal has been arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC), before an FCT High Court in Abuja, on a 10-count charge bordering on alleged conspiracy and fraudulent acquisition of property.
The former SGF, however, pleaded not guilty to the 10 count charges brought against him by the Federal Government.
President Muhammad Buhari, had on October 2017, suspended Lawal following a report of investigations by panel headed by the vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, into allegations of fraud levelled against him.
