Ex-Osogbo West LCDA Chair, Temilade Appreciates Oyetola, Aregbesola, Others

The immediate past Chairman of Osogbo West LCDA and Secretary of Osun ALGON, Hon Sekinat Temilade Olokungboye, has appreciated the people of the council area for their unflinching support in the last 3 years of her administration.

In a message, Hon Temilade particularly thanked the Governor of the State of Osun, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola, Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Osun APC Caretaker Chairman, Prince Gboyega Famodun, for the opportunity to realise her aspiration.

The ex-council boss also saluted the people of Osogbo under the leadership of the Ataoja of Osogboland, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun, Larooye II and the entire traditional council stating that the overwhelming support of the people culminated in the successes recorded in her tenure.

“I cannot but appreciate our party leaders including Pa Wale Lasisi, Hon Adeoye Adelakun, Hon Akintunde Adegboye, Pa Kayode Esuleke, Ambassador Rasaq Siyanbola, Alhaji Tajudeen Oladipo, Hon Lekan Badmus, Hon Badamosi Taofeek among others.

“I also express my gratitude to Local and Ward Executives, the entire Osogbo West LCDA Staff, cabinet members of the council area who rallied round the administration. The state government led by our amiable Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and the good people of the communities in my jurisdiction.

“I count myself as the lucky one to be a Council Chairman under the administration of Former Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola and Governor Oyetola. My achievements would have been nothing without the Governor, the APC, Staff and People of Osogbo West LCDA and my colleagues. I dedicate all achievements to you all.

“I am also grateful to my Mother, Friends and TSO group for their prayers which made me overcome some challenges while serving people of my town.

“However, according to, Peter Drucker, “effective leadership is not about making speeches or being liked; leadership is defined by results not attribute.” In my course of leadership as the Council Chairperson, I want to apologize for any lapses or mistake made because no-one is perfect except God. I seek forgiveness from everyone who I offended in one way or the other as I equally appreciate everyone who gave me several ideas and those who criticized me constructively.

“I want to again reiterate my undaunted loyalty to Governor, Alhaji Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola, and the APC, the party of the masses as I promise to ensure that I will continue to work for the success of the party at all levels,” Temilade concluded.
