Eid-El-Kabir: Salinsile Calls for Sacrifice, Forgiveness

As the Muslim faithful celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, the Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state of Osun, Hon Rasaq Salinsile has urged Muslims across the world to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice, forgiveness and selfless service as part of the virtues of Islam.

He called on Muslims and Nigerians in general to live up to the highest ideals of religious beliefs which is the fear of Allah, peace and harmonious co-existence with others.

Salinsile, in a goodwill message made available to newsmen in Osogbo, stated that Muslims should be guided by the spirit of the festival, which was a symbolic demonstration of total obedience to the will of Allah, kindness to one another and service to humanity as exhibited by Prophets.

He also congratulated all Nigerians particularly Osun citizens who successfully undertook this year’s Islamic Holy Pilgrimage.

The former chief of staff to governor Rauf Aregbesola said the country would be great if we all see the nation first in all our doings adding that developmental objectives can only be achieved with the co-operations of the citizens.

He said the APC-led administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola in the state would continue to give dedicated, committed, focused and purposeful leadership toward overcoming old and emerging challenges before the state.

While wishing all Nigerians happy Eid-el-Kabir celebrations, he enjoined people of Osun to use the occasion to pray for the state in her quest for greatness.
