Eid-El-Kabir: Osun Attorney General Felicitates With Muslims, Preaches Love, Piety

The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in the State of Osun, Dr Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru has felicitated with Muslims across the world on the occasion of the 1439AH Eid-El-Kabir celebrations.

In a statement personally signed by him in Osogbo, the Attorney General urged Muslims to see the festival as another opportunity to renew their faith and embrace the virtues of piety, perseverance and submissiveness to the will of Allah which are the lessons of the season.

Dr Basiru noted that it is important for all Muslims to be dutiful and maintain peaceful co-existence among them especially those of the other faith.

He called for prayers from residents and citizens of the state and their continued support for the present administration under the leadership of Governor Rauf Aregbesola that has transformed the state especially Osogbo, the state capital.

The Attorney General who noted his contributions to the development of the state and his town, Osogbo called on the people of the ancient town not to waver in their support for the All Progressives Congress.

“I congratulate all Muslims on the occasion of this year’s Eid-El-Kabir celebration. This year’s celebration is the last in the administration of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and the last before the elections.”

“I urge all adherents of Islam to embrace one another and imbibe the lessons embedded in the total submission of Prophet Ibrahim to Allah’s instruction. We should all remain steadfast in our support for the government.”

“And as we face the crucial time in the political history of our state, let us all remain in prayers for our dear state and our great party. I urge all of us to pray for the success of the forthcoming governorship election and support our candidate to be victorious at the polls.”
