The “Oniduro” gospel singer, whose song Tope Alabi criticized has reacted days after the incident.
Yinka Alaseyori released an album sometimes back where she called God “Oniduro mi e ṣeun o”, meaning my guarantor I thank you.
However, at a vigil on Saturday, June 12, popular gospel singer, Tope Alabi objected to Aleseyori’s song claiming that the Holy Spirit does not approve of such a name.
Tope Alabi said that when she tried to sing the song, the Holy Spirit told her to shut up. She added that God is not a guarantor.
While responding to the criticism by Tope Alabi, Alaseyori said, “Mummy Tope Alabi is our mother. She is a mother to me and so many and by virtue, we have been blessed by her ministry.
“Please and please, let us worship God, let us celebrate God, let Jesus be at the center of it all.”
