Democracy Day: Groups Stage Protest In Osogbo, Renew Call For Better Nigeria

Osun Civil Societies Coalition, Student Unions and other concerned Nigerians on Saturday held a peaceful protest in Osogbo, capital of the State of Osun.

With inscriptions on their placards, the groups urged the government to ensure food security and protect the lives and properties of Nigerians.

One the protesters, Comrade Olowu Emmanuel, State Coordinator of Democracy Vangurd, while speaking to Osun Defender correspondent, urged the State Government of Osun to conduct local government elections.

On his part, NANS JCC Chairman, Comrade Oyelayo Afeez, called on the Federal government to review the education policy in the country.
