COVID-19: Lagos Records 59 New Cases, Tops With 430

There is still no respite in Lagos, as the state is hit with 59 fresh cases of Coronavirus, taking its total haul to 430.

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Tuesday released 117 new infections in the country, with Lagos topping with 59 cases.

The State, which recorded zero infection on Monday, suddenly jumped to 59 new infections on Tuesday, second highest to the 70 cases it recorded on Sunday.

Currently, Lagos has discharged 107 Coronavirus patients after they tested negative twice, but it continues to ramp up more cases from serious community infections.

No fewer than 16 patients have died in Lagos, with two others evacuated to their countries.

With the discharge of nine new coronavirus survivors by the government on Tuesday, Lagos now has 305 active cases of coronavirus infections.
