Cleric Advises Oyetola On Policy Making

The General Superintendent of Celestial Church of Christ in the state of Osun, Venerable Olayiwola Olabode has advised Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola to come up with more friendly policies that will better the lots of the people living in the state.

Olabode advised the Governor to ensure adequate welfare of the downtrodden in the state by empowering them, saying if that is done, it would make those in lower class more willing to contribute to the development of the state.

According to the cleric, “The only way people in the lower class can feel the presence of government is when people’s oriented policies are being made.

“The governor must look in this direction. There are a lot of disadvantaged people in the state, the Governor must consider them while coming up with policies.

“Their welfare also has to be looked into. They must be empowered and not left to suffer. If they are neglected, he will be creating a social imbalance in the state which is very dangerous.

Mr Governor should come up with initiatives that will make the downtrodden to be motivated to contribute their quota to the development of the state.”

Olabode, who commended the Governor for making significant progress in the state within a year, expressed confidence in him to turn around the fortunes of the state.

He urged the Governor to be wary of sycophants and be mindful of those he seeks advices from in order not to be misled.
