Assistance Pastor in charge of the Truth Living Evangelical Church of Christ, OyewopoTimilehin has appealed to State Governors across the state of the federation to consider the N30,000 new minimum wage agitating for by Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC), so as to ease the pains of workers.

Pastor Oyewopo made this appeal while speaking with journalists at the monthly special thanksgiving programme of the church held at church auditorium Alekuwodo Osogbo.

He advised Government at all levels to rise to their responsibility and include labour welfare in their various programmes so that workers would not suffer undue economic hardship.

According to him, “This is the right time for state governors to address the salary issue of workers across the state in order to ease their pains because what they are collecting is very small indeed”.

The man of God wants Federal Government to intervene in the state matter too for the state governors to comply with the new minimum wage for workers.

He encouraged the labour union to serve their employers sincerely and wholeheartedly so as to justify their pay.
