A Magistrate court sitting in Osogbo, Osun State Capital on Monday remanded a 27-year-old School Bus Driver in Ilesa prison custody over alleged rape of a 4-year-old school girl.
The Police Prosecutor, Sgt. Temitope Fatoba, told the court that the accused person identified as Oluwatomisin Oyelakin committed the offence on Jan. 15 at about 4:00pm, within Osogbo Metropolis.
Fatoba said the accused person raped the little girl who happened to be the last pupil on his Bus while going to drop her at home.
He said the offence committed contravened sections 360 and 218 of the criminal code cap 34 vol.11,laws of Osun,2003.
Magistrate Rofiat Olayemi, then ordered the accused person to be remanded in Ilesa prison due to the magnitude of the offence committed and pending a formal bail application on the next date of adjournment which is 28th of February, 2019.
