Buhari Returns To Nigeria Today After Two Weeks Of Medical Check-up

President Muhammadu Buhari is set to return back to Nigeria after spending over two weeks in the United Kingdom on medical vacation.

lNigeria’s president has been in London since March 30 in what the Presidency described as a routine medical checkup.

President Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, had earlier stated that his principal would be back in the country in the second week of April, 2021.

It was gathered that arrangements have been concluded to receive the President in Abuja any moment from now.

As of the time of filing this report, armed soldiers and policemen on “route lining” duties have been stationed at strategic points on the road from the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja to the Presidential Villa.

This is the usual practice whenever there is a presidential movement.

Recall that the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, had on Wednesday refused to disclose the actual date that President Buhari will be returning to Nigeria.

While addressing State House correspondents, Mohammed said, “Today is Wednesday; this week finishes on Saturday. So, what is the big issue in that one?” the minister asked.
