A midnight fire on Thursday gutted a shopping plaza, at the popular Alekuwodo Market area of Osogbo, sparking panic among the residents in the area.
OSUN DEFENDER gathered that the fire incident, which occurred early Thursday morning and affected the one-storey building, belonging to “Art Deco” at the Akindeko market, before dawn.
OSUN DEFENDER reports that men of the State of Osun Fire and Rescue Service are currently battling to put off the inferno, at the complex.
It was gathered that the fire has been contained from spreading to adjoining stalls.
As at the time of filing this report, the cause of the inferno was yet to be ascertained.
