A State of Osun High Court sitting in Osogbo, the state capital, has declined the bail application brought before it by Dr. Rahman Adedoyin and six of his hotel staff over the murder of a Masters Degree Student of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Timothy Adegoke.
Delivering a ruling on the application, Chief Judge, State of Osun, Justice Adepele Ojo said the defendant’s medical conditions are not too serious to be attended to by the Nigeria Correctional Service, whose custody the defendants are.
She added that the defendants have failed to prove that the Correctional Service did not have adequate facilities to take care of their medical issues.
According to her, the nature of the offences preferred against the defendants demands that the court be cautious in granting such bail application.
