As part of his vision and determination to ensure healthy living among the people of Ayedire Local Government, the Executive Secretary, Otunba Mukaila Oladejo has urged the people to make use of long-lasting insecticide nets being distributed across the Local government judiciously in other to tackle malaria.
He gave the charge while flagging off the distribution of Long Lasting Insecticide nets at Ile-Ogbo, headquarter of Ayedire Local Government.
He emphasised that the nets which would be distributed free of charge in all the primary Health centres and selected centres were aimed at ensuring that the people of the council live a healthy life.
Noting that the investment of the government on healthcare delivery system was enormous, the council boss said that there is a need for the people to support the government towards realising its dream in the health sector.
The Coordinator of the programme in the council, Mr. Oladimeji Abiola advised the people to make use of the net when sleeping so that malaria would be kicked out of the area, saying prevention is better than cure.
