Fresh Crisis Brews In Osun Communities, Kano Guber Election Dispute And Other Newspaper Headlines Today

Stories and legal opinions on the controversy surrounding the judgment of the appeal court on the Kano governorship election dispute, a possibility of hostilities resuming between Ifon and Ilobu communities of Osun State dominate the headlines on Nigerian Newspapers today, November 24.

Osun Defender leads with an extensive report about the issues surrounding the battles of the Chief Judge of Osun State, Justice Oyebola Adepele Ojo. The paper also reports that fresh crisis is brewing between Ifon and Ilobu communities of Osun State, despite a peace accord brokered by the state government a few weeks ago.

THISDAY reports that Wole Olanipekun, counsel to the Kano state governor, said the appeal court cannot correct what it claims to be mere clerical errors in the certified true copy (CTC) of the judgment of the Kano governorship election dispute.
