The G-5 Governors of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP have held a crucial meeting in Lagos State, South-West Nigeria with party leaders from states across the country who belong to the “Wike Group”.
All the G-5 Governors from Rivers, Oyo, Enugu, Abia and Benue states were at the closed-door meeting attended by other chieftains including former Plateau State Governor, Jonah Jang and one-time PDP National Deputy Chairman, Olabode George.
The group wants to be known and addressed as the PDP Intergrity Group.
Former Governor Jang while speaking on behalf of the group after the closed-door meeting said they have resolved to leave the window open for further discussion with the party leadership over their demand for the resignation of the National Chairman, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu.
