With effect from next week, officers and men of the Nigeria Army will be dressing in their plain green jackets on Mondays and Fridays.
This was contained in a signal, sent to all Army units and formation across the country.
The directive is coming barely three months after Mr Ibrahim Attahiru, a lieutenant general, assumed office as the Chief of Army Staff.
The new directive is part of the restructuring being undertaken by the new army leadership.
Shortly after assuming office, the army chief approved the redeployment of 204 of its officers to new formations across the country.
