Aregbesola Seeks Consolidation As Gov Oyetola Celebrates Supreme Court Victory

Former Governor, state of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola on Saturday called for consolidation among members of the All Progressives Congress APC in the state.

Aregbesola who spoke at the Freedom Park during an event organized by his supporters to mark the victory of Governor Gboyega Oyetola at the Supreme Court.

The former Governor in his remarks urged his loyalists and supporters of Governor Oyetola to come together so as to consolidate on the achievements of his administration as he is now a “kingmaker in Osun politics.”

”We thank God for his mercies over us in Osun and the entire APC Family. We wish to appreciate all residents and our supporters for their love, prayers and affection to achieve this victory.”

”I want to appeal to my supporters and those of Governor Oyetola to come together and consolidate as I have successfully installed my successor which now makes me a Kingmaker in Osun politics.”

”We are happy and full of gratitude to our leaders who helped us thus far. We promise that we would not let our people down.”

 

Governor Gboyega Oyetola in his remarks was full of praises to Almighty Allah for answering his supplications day and night.

He applauds the support of all the good people in the state for allowing peace to reign throughout the courts jurisdictions.

Governor Oyetola pledged that all his election promises will be attended to, urging the people to support his administration, adding that the victory belongs to all the good people of the state of Osun.

Speaking earlier, the speaker, Osun Assembly, Honourable Timothy Owoeye and APC state chairman, Prince Gboyega Famodun praised party loyalists for their unrelenting support.

The duo prayed for a successful tenure of office for Governor Gboyega Oyetola and admonished party faithfuls to be more prayerful, focused and determined so that dividends of democracy will be delivered to all.

It was jubilation galore for All Progressives Congress party faithfuls in Osogbo, the state capital as they trooped out in their large numbers to celebrate the victory following the announcement from the Apex Court, Abuja, affirming Governor Gboyega Oyetola as the Governor, State of Osun.

As early as 9am in the Saturday morning, Nelson Mandela Freedom Park was agog as various political groups have gathered in their numbers to solidarise with people’s governor, Gboyega Oyetola.
