Appeal Court Dismisses APC Case On Osun LG Election

The Court of Appeal sitting in Akure, Ondo State has dismissed an appeal filed by Chairmen and Councillors who were candidates of the All Progressives Congress in the local government election conducted during the administration of the immediate past governor of Osun State, Mr Gboyega Oyetola.
Osun Defender had reported that Oyetola through the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission conducted the YES or NO local government election where all candidates of the APC were declared winners.

However, the election was nullified by the Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo, Osun State.
The appealate court concurred with the judgement of Justice Nathaniel Ayo-Emmanuel that the election was held in violation of section 29 and 32 of the eEectoral Act, 2022.
