The contest for who becomes the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, is gaining momentum as five aspirants have purchased the party’s Expression of Interest and Nomination forms.
The party had earlier announced the commencement of the sale of nomination forms on Tuesday, March 15th, 2022.
At the time of writing this report, the five chairmanship aspirants who have picked their forms to contest the position at the party’s National Convention, include Malam Saliu Mustapha, and a former governor of Nasarawa, Abdullahi Adamu.
Others are a former governor of Nasarawa, Tanko Al-Makura, and Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, George Akume.
Not minding the zoning of offices as announced by the party, a former governor of Zamfara, Mr. Abdulaziz Yari, from the North-East, also obtained the party’s national chairmanship forms as against the party’s leadership zoning the position to the North-Central.
