The All Progressives Congress (APC) has cancelled the Zamfara State governorship primary which held on Wednesday in Gusau, the state capital.
According to the state’s APC governorship primary committee headed by Professor Abubakar Faki, the exercise was marred by various malpractices including snatching of election materials which led to the cancellation.
In a statement signed by the party’s spokesperson, Yekini Nabena, the committee explained that the decision was approved by the National Working Committee based on the cited reasons.
It also said that a new date will be announced soon for the repeat of the exercise.
