How American Pop Star Saved Mr. Ibu’s Life

Everyone agrees that comic actor, John Okafor, aka Mr. Ibu, is one of the funniest comedians that Nigeria has ever produced. Most people, who have met the actor in person or seen him in action, are willing to attest to the fact that nearly everything about him, the way he carries himself, talks, even his gestures, compels laughter.

But, nobody ever heard that Mr. Ibu almost committed suicide at a point in his life.

The actor himself revealed this part of his personal history when he paid a surprise visit to the housemates in the ongoing Big Brother Nigeria reality TV.
He told the shocked housemates that he was on the verge of committing suicide when he heard a song titled, ‘When I am back on my feet again’, by American music star, Michael Bolton. He had to change his mind.
