Akirun Of Ikirun Applauds Aregbesola, Says Party Must Continue

By Nofisat Marindoti
The Akirun of Ikirun, Oba Abdulrauf Olayiwola Adedeji, has applauded the State Government led by Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for successfully transforming Osun into a better State.
Oba Adedeji noted that things have changed for the better in the State, adding that the ruling party must continue peddling the affairs of the State.
The Traditional Ruler said this while hosting the Governor on his visit to the Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo-Otin Federal Constituency.
According to him, “To be truthful, the State of Osun has changed kudos to the Ogbeni Aregbesola administration. We are grateful for this change and for this, we say thank you Ogbeni. I applaud the Governor for changing the faces of the State.
“If only it were possible, we would have extended his term, we are pained this is not possible. To us the kings, it is as if Ogbeni should not go, we are happy with him and we want the continuity of the progressive party.
“We don’t want stagnation in the development of the State and we don’t want someone from nowhere to spoil his achievements so we support the progressives. Lagos State is as it is today because the same party has been in power since 1999, we want the same for Osun.”
In his speech, the Party Chairman, Prince Gboyega Famodun stated that the visitation was geared towards checking on party members in the constituency and urging them to start working towards the soon to be conducted Governorship election.
