The Yoruba socio-cultural political organization, Afenifere, Osun State Chapter has congratulated one of its illustrious leaders, Chief Bisi Akande on the occasion of his 81st birthday.
The congratulatory statement jointly signed by Chief Akande’s deputy Governor, his Excellency Sooko Adeleke Adewoyin and the state Coordinator of Afenifere, Arc. Lekan Usman, eulogised Chief Bisi Akande for his steadfastness in l maintaining the Omoluabi ethos and character in his leadership style.
The group said it will be celebrating the former Governor and Pioneer Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in an awesome fashion for his selfless service to the old Oyo state, his home state of Osun, the Nigerian Nation and humanity as the Secretary to the Government, Governor and APC Chairman, respectively.
The group reiterated that history will not forget Chief Bisi Akande for his giant strides, notably as the Governor who built the scintillating and imposing Osun State secretariat Abere without borrowing any money.
“Indeed, chief Bisi Akande a man of laudable principles and integrity has laid the good foundation for any progressive Governor in the state to follow.” the statement stressed.
The group went on to pray for the elder statesman to celebrate more good years on earth in good health. “He deserves all the best, and we doff our hats for him.”
