Alhaji Wahab Adeniji, the Principal Aide to a leader of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, has explained the story behind the picture of the former Secretary to the State Government with Governor Ademola Adeleke and his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye.

Adeniji urged members of the public to disregard the murmuring and negative meanings being made by a caucus of the APC which is known for negative vibes and social media ranting on Adeoti’s visitation to the Bola Ige House, Abere, on Wednesday, May 17, where the picture was taken.

According to Adeniji, the visitation was innocuous because Adeoti was on a private visit to Akinleye, the Chief of Staff to Governor, saying that the duo had maintained personal relationship without interference with each other’s different individual political beliefs.

“But circumstances made meeting with the Governor inevitable and courtesies were extended which necessitating picture opportunities that sent the neophytes in the said APC caucus on edge”, said Adeniji.

He lampooned those reading negative meanings to Adeoti’s visitation, saying there is more to social life and personal relationships than politics.

Adeniji said: “As it has been the case with their usual selfishness, members of the caucus began unreasonable extrapolation to put the integrity of the former Iwo Local Government Chairman, leader of all progressives political parties in existence in Osun between December 2003 till January 2011 when he was appointed the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) at stake.

“They attributed senseless meanings, suitable only to their warped rationalisation to the visit, assuming it was a political visit.

“Such myopic thinking which they verbalise makes one to wonder if they know about ethics and etiquette of societal relationship and most importantly that of government.

“May the political uninitiated be told that courtesy demanded that Adeoti was expected to pay an unscheduled visit to the Governor when he was informed that the Governor had arrived office.”
