Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, Hon. Tope Adejumo has reaffirmed the need for the people of the state of Osun to remain vigilant as Security Agencies continue to use all means at
their disposal to combat crime in the State. Hon. Adejumo gave this remark while fielding questions from newsmen.
According to the Special Adviser, there is the need to sensitize members of the public to be on the look-out for strange and devilish faces in their environment so that they can report appropriately to the Security Agencies through this number (080123823981)(Police Distress Number). He advised that, if people could not go to Police Stations to report suspicious movements, they are free to make phone calls to the police.
He implored Security Agencies not to be deterred in their efforts to rid the state of Cultism, Armed Robbery and Other Social Vices.
Hon. Adejumo who posited that, the insurgents are in disarray hence they are employing different tactics to wreak havocs, advised the people of the State to be watchful for any suspicious movement of people or group.
While applauding the administration of Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola for not taking the issue of Security with levity, Hon. Adejumo promised that, the State would continue to sustain the position of being the most secured and safest state in Nigeria.
He lauded the Security Agencies in the State of Osun for the arrest of the alleged killers of a 400-level student of the Osun State University, Miss Rofiat Adebisi and implored them not to rest on their
oars.
The Special Adviser concluded that, Security of the State of Osun belongs to all and urged the people to report any criminality in their areas.
