Abdulmalik Jibrin Takes Over As CDCFIB Secretary

Following his appointment by President Bola Tinubu, Abdulmalik Jibrin (Rtd.), has assumed office as the new Secretary to the Civil Defence Correctional Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).
A statement by Juliet Okeh, Head of Press of the board, noted that the handover ceremony took place at the board headquarters on Monday February 3, 2025.
Jibrin succeeds Alh. Ja’afaru Ahmed, former retired Controller General, Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS).

Ahmed during the handover ceremony, expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for the opportunity to serve. He also commended the Minister of Interior/Chairman of the Board, Hon. (Dr.) Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for his leadership, which enabled the board to secure presidential approval for key reforms.
In his remarks, Jibrin thanked the Almighty Allah and President Tinubu for the appointment, assuring the staff of his commitment to build on the reforms initiated by his predecessor.
The Chairman of the Board Union, Comrade Gbadamasi Saheed, pledged the support of the board staff to ensure a seamless tenure for the new secretary.
