2023: Tinubu Meets Emir of Kano Advocates For National Integration

In his advocacy towards national integration for growth and development, the National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Sunday visited the Emir of Kano Aminu Ado Bayero in his palace.
Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, who led the former Lagos state governor to the emir, told the monarch that Tinubu was in Kano for a special visit to the emirate “for national cohesion, to see the modest development in the state and attend his colloquium.”
He added, “Every year, on his birthday, Tinubu organises colloquium, where national issues are discussed by prominent Nigerians. This shows how concerned he is about the development of this country.

“Thus, we are in your palace because Tinubu finds it necessary to pay homage on you who is the chief custodian of culture and religion of the people of Kano state.”
Tinubu appreciated the culture, value and good character of the emir’s late father, Ado Bayero, were still visible for all, including his children to see.
“We are here to pay courtesy visit to our brother. We are praying for God guidance and good health for the life of the emir and this palace.

“It is clear to all that without peace and stability there will be no progress and development,” he said.
The APC national leader commended Kano and Lagos states for being promoters of peace and national unity.
He said, “Kano and Lagos states are promoting peace and stability together and this is a very good development to our country. May God help us.”
