The United States are taking additional and efficient steps to ensure that there is no possibility of Russia’s Intervention in the 2018 US elections.

This was disclosed by Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats on Wednesday while speaking to newsmen in Washington DC.

“I think we are becoming more and more aware of the potential for Russia to continue to engage in any number of ways relative to our elections.

“A lot of steps are being taken,’’ Coats said.

The report said Coats added that more steps would be taken to counter Russia’s alleged efforts to challenge the U.S.

According to the report, the DNI chief said U.S. intelligence agencies, the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI are working to “upgrade the election process.’’

Russia has repeatedly denied allegations that it interfered in the 2016 U.S. election or seeks to meddle in upcoming polls in the U.S.

President Donald Trump has also denied accusations that his campaign team colluded with Moscow to affect the outcome of the vote.

Earlier in March, Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee released an initial report saying that its yearlong investigation of alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election turned up no evidence of “collusion, coordination, or conspiracy” between the Trump campaign and Moscow.
