A video has been released online exposing 24 year-old US baseball player Danry Vasquez, while he was beating up his girlfriend in a stadium.

Although the assault took place in 2016 and he was arrested for domestic violence in Texas back in August 2016 but the video only recently surfaced.

In the video, the outfielder is seen backhanding his woman in the face and continuing to beat her while dragging her down a stairwell. At the time of the incident, Vasquez was playing for the Corpus Christi Hooks – the AA minor league affiliate of the Houston Astros. The team released him days after the incident.

A professional baseball team in Pennsylvania has also cut Danry after the horrific video surfaced.

Nueces County District Attorney Mark Gonzalez told TMZ Sports Danry got off easy because the victim did not want to cooperate with prosecutors and wanted the case dropped. Hence, Vasquez was ordered to complete anger management courses and that was all.

Gonzalez says Vasquez has now completed the terms of his probation and the case was formally dismissed on March 6.  Vasquez and the girlfriend he beat up are still together and even posted loved-up photos two months after the incident.
