There is a large turnout of members of the All Progressives Congress APC in the State of Osun to their respective wards for the ongoing governorship primaries.

Today is the D-Day where Members of the All Progressives Congress in the State of Osun are electing who becomes the candidate of the party in the September 22 governorship election.

The process of the primary is Direct and with Option A4. Direct primaries allow all party members in the process to elect the party’s flag bearer for the election.

This is also the first time Option A4 is going on in the political process in Osun; the first of its kind in the history of Primary Elections in Nigeria.

Guidelines and Code of Conduct for today’s Primaries were communicated to the respective aspirants at a stakeholders meeting held at the party’s secretariat in Osogbo, the state capital, yesterday.

Reports from Field indicates that there is a massive turnout of party members who line up behind the poster of respective aspirants to decide those they are supporting in the election.

From Osogbo to Ejigbo, Ila, Boluwaduro, Boripe and other local government areas of the state, party members including a foremost aspirant, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola were seen casting their votes.
