Some armed political thugs, around 11:30am today, attacked members of the All Progressives Congress who were on the queue to participate in the party’s congress at Ward 3, Ilesa West Local Government of the State of Osun.
OSUN DEFENDER which got to the Igbogi Town Hall, Ilesa, the collation centre for the ward, around 12pm, met members of the party cursing a serving member of the House of Representative and a Commissioner in Governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s cabinet.
According to the APC members, the two politicians led the thugs that attacked them.
The angry party members said: “We gathered here to conduct our ward congress and the process was on before a House of Reps member and a commissioner who has been romancing cultists and hoodlums in Ilesa came here with thugs.
“They ordered the thugs to beat people on the queue. They said there would not be congress in the entire Ilesa West Local Government. We were unable to hold the congress eventually, and there is no congress in the entire local government”
