The Texas Republicans are set to roll out a number of restrictive election and voting bills with many targeting early voting.

Over two dozen GOP-sponsored election bills are being brought to the state’s Legislature.

Texas Governor, Greg Abbott has backed similar restrictions on voting, especially with mail-in ballot procedures, as a part of his “election security” an emergency issue for the state.

The move has been condemned by Democrats in the state, who are moving to expand voting access.

Texas is joining other U.S. states in limiting voting access following the 2020 Presidential election, as Republicans continue to press false claims of mass voter fraud.
