Teen Arraigned Over Alleged Burglary, Theft

The State of Osun Police Command has arraigned an 18 year old boy,  Odeniyi Yinka before an Osogbo Magistrate Court, Osun State capital for alleged burglary.

Yinka was arraigned before Magistrate Fatimah Sodamade on a three count charge bothering on burglary, stealing and conspiracy.

Prosecutor Oladoye Joshua told the court that Yinka and others now at large on 2nd of September, 2017 conspired among themselves and broke into the house of one Olalekan Faruk to commit felony.

He added that the accused also stole one Infinite Hot4 phone valued N38,000, one HP Laptop valued N70,000, one Wrist watch valued N12, 000 total value of which is N120,000 property of Faruk .

Joshua said the offence committed by the accused was contrary to section 516 and punishable under section 390(9) of the Criminal code Cap 34 Volume II laws of Osun State,  2002.

The accused, however,  pleaded not guilty to the three count allegations levelled against him while his counsel,  Barrister Remigus Nwgu, pleaded with the court to grant his client bail in the most liberal term.

Magistrate Sodamade thereby,  granted the accused bail in the sum of N400,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned till 18th of December for hearing.
