Teachers Must Be Role Models – Gov Oyetola

Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun has again reiterated that his administration is committed to ensuring that children in the state get good education.

The Governor said this at the commissioning of the renovation of four blocks of three classrooms each, one block of six classrooms, the school Hall and laboratories.

Governor Oyetola stressed that children must get good education and that’s the reason why his Government is striving to build schools, renovate dilapidated projects, equip them and as well provide well-trained teachers to teach the pupils and ensure that pupils attend Schools regularly.

“These projects are a further fulfilment of our promise to provide quality, functional, affordable and equitable education for all as a way of achieving our goals of delivering a better life for the people and driving development in the state”.

“For us to achieve our desired goals, we require the cooperation of parents and teachers. It is on this note that I would like to appeal to our parents to ensure that their and wards are registered at school, attend school regularly and are well-behaved”.

“Our teachers must be role models to the children. They must ensure that the pupils are well taught. They must cooperate with the Edu- Marshal Corps to inject discipline in the children”.

The governor urged Telemu Community and the school authority to ensure that the renovated school and other projects are put to judicious use, adding that it is a duty for all parents and guidarns to make the future and well-being of the pupils a priority.

Head of Service, State of Osun who doubles as the Chairman, Education Steering Committee, Dr. Olowogboyega Oyebade in welcome address noted that the governor has demonstrated so well in the area of education, payment of full salaries since he assumed office, and provided all materials that is necessary for the improvement of education in the state.

He added that the governor has also improved well in the area of vocational studies where artisans will be retrained to meet the target of the day.

He therefore admonished people of the state to continue to pray for the success of this administration to achieve it’s goals.

Principal of the School, Mr. Adelanwa Idowu,
PTA Chairman, Mr. Olarinde and
Senior prefect of the school, Oladitan Ayomide commended the governor’s strides in education.

They also commended the governor for his all-round magnanimity, adding that
since APC assumed office, teachers have continued to enjoy dividends of democracy.

Simiarly, Ancoppss President, Mr Emmanuel Onatola appreciated the governor for providing an enabling environment conducive for learning.

“This is an incubator that hatches the eggs and grows to become a cock. I admonished parents and guidances to see that their wards attends classes at appropriate time so as to realize the future dreams”.

Olowu of Telemu Oba Madojutola was grateful to the governor for rewriting the story of Telemu Government Middle and High School which has been dilapidated for some years.

The monarch applauded Governor Gboyega Oyetola stressing that there is no state in Nigeria that develop education than Osun.

The governor later commissioned the school edifice and toured round the classes alongside  stakeholders.
