Yusuf Buhari Returns After Treatment In Germany

Yusuf Buhari, the only son of the President Buhari has returned from his foreign medical treatment.

Recall that Yusuf was rushed to Germany after he was involved in a bike accident in Abuja.

He was initially admitted at Cedarcrest Hospital, Abuja where he received immediate treatment.

The development caused Aisha to be placed on bed rest as she suffered high blood pressure.

Although he was reported to have returned to Nigerian earlier in the week, Haye Okoh, personal photographer to his mum and First Lady, Aisha Buhari, posted Yusuf’s arrival photos Thursday morning.

Yusuf is seen being welcomed by Minister of State for Healh, Osagie Ehanire.



Yusuf Buhari Returns To Nigeria After Treatment In Germany

Son of the President Yusuf Buhari has allegedly returned to Nigeria. Recall that Yusuf was sent abroad to after undergoing further for treatment for the head injuries he sustained in a motorbike accident he was involved in last December.

According to news reports, the only son of the President returned yesterday.

Yusuf had broken a limb and sustained an injury to the head in an accident which also involved his friend in Abuja. He was rushed to the Cedarcrest hospital in Abuja where he had undergone a surgery at a clinic in Abuja. He was later transferred to Germany for further medical attention.


Brain Injury: Yusuf Buhari Transferred To Germany

Yusuf Buhari, the son of Nigeria’s President who was critically injured during a drag-racing motorbike accident in Gwanripa neighbourhood in Abuja last December will be heading to Germany for further medical treatment.

Saharareporters had revealed that Yusuf could not immediately be airlifted outside Nigeria due to the severity of injuries to his brain.

Saharareporters confirmed that Yusuf will be transferred tonight to St. Josefs Hospital in Wiesbaden, Germany where he will receive comprehensive treatment that my last for weeks.

Yusuf will be accompanied by his mother, Aisha Buhari, the daughter of the President, Mrs. Halima Buhari-Sheriff, the personal physician to the first lady, Dr. Kamal Mohammed and three other aides.

Medical sources said Yusuf had remained largely unresponsive to treatment at Cedarcrest Hospital where he was first taken after the bike accident in Abuja.

Yusuf Buhari In Stable Condition- Medical Director

Yusuf Buhari, who has been on hospital admission, following a bike accident that left him with a broken limb and a head injury, is now in stable condition.

This was revealed in a statement released earlier today, the president of the Guild of Medical Directors, Prof. Femi Dokun-Babalola, disclosed that Yusuf, after a brain surgery at the Cedarcrest hospital, Abuja, is now in a stable condition.

Guild of Medical Directors is a body of private medical practitioners. The Cedacrest Hospital Abuja, where Yusuf was operated upon and is currently on admission, is a member of the Guild.

The statement reads in part:

“We are saddened to hear about the unfortunate accident involving the son of our dear president on a power bike. While we cannot comment on the exact circumstances of the accident, we are happy that the situation is being efficiently handled by Cedarcrest Hospital in Abuja, one of the top Guild of Medical Directors owned hospitals in Nigeria. It is heartening to note that his condition is now stable after undergoing brain surgery and we hope for a complete recovery from this unfortunate incident. Our thoughts and prayers are with President Muhammadu Buhari and his family at this time”.


Yusuf Buhari Receives Dignitary Visits In Hospital

The security situation around the hospital where Yusuf Buhari was admitted following the motor bike accident he had remained tense, as policemen screened those gaining entry into the medical facility.

A guard near the hospital told one of our correspondents that the First Lady was believed to have slept overnight till Friday.

“The dignitaries have not stopped coming. We see luxury cars every 10 minutes, we see police escorts; I can’t mention everyone who has visited today.

“But the wife of the President slept in the hospital. She is still with the injured son,” the guard who pleaded anonymity, said.

It was learnt that Yusuf’s friend, Bashir Gwandu, was also at the Intensive Care Unit of the Cedar Crest Hospital, Abuja.

The President’s son had collided with Gwandu during a motorbike race on Tuesday night in Abuja.

Yusuf’s younger sister, Hanan, said her brother was doing well. Hanan, in a message on Instagram, stated, “Yusuf is doing well. Alamdulilahi. Thank you for all the messages.”

Meanwhile, the Presidency on Friday denied a report that the President’s wife, Aisha, had been admitted to the hospital, where her son was being treated.

It stated that there was no truth in the news that Aisha suffered shock after she was told about the motorbike accident involving Yusuf.

“I have not been briefed about that,” the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, simply said on the telephone when contacted.

But the Director of Information in the Office of the President’s wife, Suleiman Haruna, was emphatic that nothing of such happened.

“There is absolutely nothing like that. People can be so wicked in their thinking. Since her son is in the hospital, is there anything wrong with her being with her son? The news is false, there is nothing wrong with her,” Haruna said.

Buhari on Friday joined Muslim faithful to pray for the quick recovery of his son. The prayer session formed part of the Jumat prayers held in a mosque at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Government officials who participated in the session alongside the President were the Nasarawa State Governor, Tanko Al-Makura; Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu; and the Group Managing Director, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Dr. Maikanti Baru.

APC Prays For Yusuf Buhari’s Speedy Recovery

The ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, has prayed for the speedy and full recovery of the president’s son, Yusuf Buhari, who was involved in a motorbike accident on Tuesday.

The party disclosed this via a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, on Thursday.

The incident which occurred on Tuesday in Gwarinpa drawn has attracted a lot of goodwill messages from Nigerians towards Mr. Yusuf, who is currently undergoing medical care at Cedarcrest hospital in Abuja.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the first family following injuries sustained by Yusuf, the son of President Muhammadu Buhari in a motorbike accident.

“The APC family is relieved that accident was not fatal. We pray Yusuf makes a speedy and full recovery,” the ruling party said.

Yusuf Buhari’s Friend In Coma After Bike Accident

Bashir Gwandu is Yusuf Buhari’s friend who was involved in the bike accident that happened in Gwarimpa, Abuja on Tuesday December 26th.

Bashir and Yusuf were riding their power bikes together when the accident happened. According to reports, Yusuf was about to overtake Bashir’s bike when he lost control and they collided. Both of them sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the Cedarcrest Hospital. Bashir is reportedly in a coma right now.

Yusuf who is President Buhari’s only son, broke his limb and had a head injury. He has undergone surgery and is said to be in a stable condition.


Yusuf Buhari In Critical State, Flown Out Of The Country

Yusuf Buhari who was involved in a critical accident has been flown outside the country for treatments.

According to latest reports, the President’s only son also broke his limb in the Tuesday night accident, as confirmed by Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.

It is unclear the country he was taken to, but as at Wednesday Yusuf was still unconscious at the Cedars hospital in Abuja.


Buhari’s Son, Yusuf, Sustains Head Injury In Bike Accident

Son of President Muhammadu Buhari, Yusuf, was on Tuesday night involved in bike accident in Abuja. He was said to have sustained head injury and had one of his limbs broken.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, confirmed the accident in a statement made available to journalists on Wednesday .

Shehu said Yusuf had undergone a successful surgery and was in a stable condition.

The statement read, “Yusuf Buhari had a bike accident last night around Gwarimpa in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

“He broke a limb and had an injury to the head as a result. He has undergone surgery at a clinic in Abuja. He is in a stable condition.

“The President and his wife, Mrs. Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, are thankful to Nigerians for the good wishes and prayers for their son.

“May God reward you all.”
