“Fast and the Furious” actor Vin Diesel recently got honored with a PhD by Hunter College.
Vin Diesel who had attended the school but dropped out three years later, during the ceremony spoke on how proud he had always been of the College.

‘while I was in Hollywood I always had this pride of Hunter College. I would tell everybody that I learned and took so much away from my experience at Hunter College: I was young, I was a bouncer, when I wasn’t bouncing I was in these classrooms with the most diverse student body on the planet. We’re strivers. We can overcome anything. You learn that here and you take into the world. And then you can look at Hollywood and change the face of Hollywood. You can literally change the face of Hollywood because of that dignity and pride and willingness to fight’.
Vin Diesel, 50, has been named Forbes top-grossing actor of 2017. This is coming after his movies amassed an eye-popping, combined $1.6 billion in global ticketing receipts.
The movies he starred in, The Fate of the Furious (grossed $1.2B), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 ($863.7M), and xXx: Return of Xander Cage ($346.1M).
Vin Diesel, whose real name is Mark Sinclair, beat his Fast and Furious co-star, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who landed in second place with $1.5 billion but still technically earns more than him.
