His post below:

“Your absence felt and returning home(Okene) after Living Kano is my prayer.” That was Mal. Abdulmumin words after exchanging pleasantries when I travelled to Okene in honouring my cousin sister’s wedding invitation on 6th October 2017 and a day after the wedding I met Mal. Abdulmumin at Ebira central mosque Okene where we attended our Sunday weekly Ansarul Islam Ta’alim programme presided over by Sheikh Luqman Imam Abuyatama where he told me the above statement.

The death of Mal.Abdulmumin Yakub was a great tragedy for the Ozuwaya community, education community and Ansarul Islam society of Nigeria Okene branch.

Mallam Abdulmumin Yakub at Ozuwaya in front of his house was killed by unknown gunmen yesterday as he was shot at head together with one other Mal.Ibrahim Otaru that came and invited him outside to discussed some community issue.

I am very sorry to hear about this incident. The taking of an innocent human life which Allah Most High has made sacred and inviolable (regardless of the person’s religion) is, in His own eternal words, like killing all of humanity put together. It’s a compounded shame then that our society has turned into by taking innocent lives, whether for personal, worldly or whichever reasons.

Allah Most High says:
“… Whosoever kills a soul who took no innocent life nor caused havoc in the land, then it as if he has killed all of mankind put together…” [Quran, 5:32]
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
“The verbal disparagement of a Muslim is a moral outrage, and fighting him is disbelief.” [al-Bukhari, Sahih]
He (peace be upon him) also said: “Hopefully, Allah may forgive every sin – except the one
who dies a polytheist, or the believer who sheds the blood of a believer intentionally.” [Abu Dawud, Sunan]

Until his death, Abdulmumin Yakub a staff of Kogi State Science teachers board Lokoja, Kogi State NASU Chairman, Ozuwaya Community Chairman, Ansarul Islam society of Nigeria Okene branch Financial Secretary, founder of an Islamiyya & Quranic studies in front of his family house Ozuwaya, one time a labour master in Abdul Azizi Atta Memorial College Okene (AAAMCO).

This intelligent, straight forward, faithful and sincere community chairman of Ozuwaya was among the most active chairman of today and one of our hopes for the future.

I expressed my sympathy over Mallam’s death to the bereaved family, friends, colleagues, community and all Ansarul Islam members.

O Allaah, forgive and have mercy upon him, excuse him and pardon him, and make honorable his reception. Expand his entry, and cleanse him with water, snow, and ice, and purify him of sin as a white robe is purified of filth. Exchange his home for a better home, and his family for a better family, and his spouse for a better spouse. Admit him into the Garden, protect him from the punishment of the grave and the torment of the Fire.

O Allaah, forgive our living and our dead, those present and those absent, our young and our old, our males and our females. O Allaah, whom amongst us You keep alive, then let such a life be upon Islam, and whom amongst us You take unto Yourself, then let such a death be upon faith. O Allaah, do not deprive us of his reward and do not let us stray after him. Ameen

Our Lord is indeed the All-Hearing, All-Knowing, and He indeed hears and responds to those who call upon Him in humility and in hope.
Ya Allah! Expose the killer and put an end to this scourging evil perpetrating our land. Ameen
